It was constructed by the Navy beginning in summer 1940 and commissioned in April 1943 as Creeds Naval Outer Landing Field, an auxiliary field for NAS Norfolk. It was a training and support base for Wildcats and Avengers used on escort carriers for convoy patrol. The navy constructed two practice bombing targets to the east side of the runways which have since been removed.

The North End of the Virginia Beach oceanfront is a very unique community on the Atlantic coast of the United States. Little known is the abundant wealth that resides in this area. Lived in Alaska Court from 1981 TO 1988

Holy crap, lived there - god - I don't even remember when. It was first left all the way back and then a right into the cul-de-sac. It was an upgrade from Bemoral at least. Rouses, Lyons, Ingles ... names from my childhood.

1103 Florida court from 1989-1993. I was just a kid but man I had some fun times there. It was great making friends with all the other kids from neighboring courts. Salem sharks!

Nevada Court from June 1989 to June 1995. Last family to live in that house, one of the last on the court, almost everyone else had gone by then. It was like a ghost town in all of the courts. Climbed up on the garage and took the number plate for the unit to keep as a memory. Odd feeling to know that your house/home was being torn down. Goodbye, Carper!

I lived here from 1995-2004. Loved the whole time I was here. I would retire here in a heartbeat. Nags Head, NC is a close second :)

I went to A-School here a few years ago and frequented this eating establishment quite often. Its not the worst place I've ever eaten at but it definitely has some health hazards.
